Spirit of Giving
Caring for Our Community
December 1, 2025 – January 10, 2026
Your kindness provides more than just a gift—it offers dignity, warmth, and hope to a neighbor in need. When a patient arrives at one of our health system's three hospitals with nothing but the clothes on their back, or a child faces the fear of a hospital stay, it is your generosity that steps in to provide comfort. Through the Spirit of Giving, you can ensure that every person in our care feels the support of their community this holiday season.
Spirit of Giving is our annual initiative to provide essential items for our most at-risk patients and families. We’ve partnered with care teams across Concord Hospital Health System to identify the specific items that will help them deliver compassionate, dignified care year-round.
How You Can Help
Bring Joy to Our Youngest Patients (Pediatrics)
The Family Place provides critical care to children in our community. You can help ease their anxiety and support their recovery by providing items that distract, comfort, and care for them.
- Please remember to fill out our [Donation Form] so we can properly thank you!
Provide Comfort and Dignity (Patient & Family Services Amenities)
Many patients arrive at our emergency department or inpatient rooms with very little. Your gift ensures that no one leaves our care without the essentials they need to recover at home, basic items that can make a difficult experience feel less daunting, as well as supports our volunteer Pets Uplift People program.
- The Need: Sweatshirts, sweatpants, and t-shirts for our CHomfort Closets; fidget sleeves and weighted animals for sensory support; and treats for our Pets Uplift People program.
- Impact: A gift of $25 provides a patient with a clean, warm change of clothes for discharge.
Support Mental Health Recovery
The Designated Receiving Facility at Concord Hospital - Franklin is a 10-bed unit helping neighbors return to their communities after a mental health crisis.
- The Need: New clothing (t-shirts and sweatpants) and therapeutic art supplies, such as paints and canvases.
- Impact: Art supplies offer a vital outlet for expression and healing during a patient's stay.
Support New Parents
The first days of parenthood should be defined by joy and bonding, not the stress of how to afford basic essentials. For many families in our community, the excitement of a new arrival is often overshadowed by the urgent worry of providing for their child’s needs.
- The Need: Diapers and infant clothing for families in transition. Pajamas and sleeping bags for toddlers through pre-teens. Books and toys that foster bonding and play during hospital stays.
- Impact: Your contribution provides local families and our maternal health teams with immediate access to critical supplies — from diapers and pajamas to books and toys. By giving today, you are equipping parents with the tools they need and ensuring every child in our care starts their journey surrounded by comfort and dignity.
