More than 4,500 Raise $250,000 for Annual Rock ’N Race

On Thursday May 17, local friends and families came out to a favorite Concord community event, the 16th annual Payson Center for Cancer Care Rock ‘N Race, presented by Merrimack County Savings Bank. The Rock ‘N Race raised more than $250,000 to benefit Concord Hospital’s Payson Center for Cancer Care and the HOPE Resource Center. The HOPE Resource Center assists patients with all aspects of their cancer care including financial, emotional, spiritual and dietary needs.

Along the route and on the State House lawn, runners and walkers enjoyed the music of a number of area bands and DJs and feasted on food provided by local restaurants. Since the Rock ’N Race began 15 years ago, more than $4.2 million has been raised to support Payson Center for Cancer Care.

Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care, approved by the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center, provides treatment and support for cancer patients and their families, including radiation oncology, medical oncology and surgery. Board-certified physicians and nationally certified oncology nurses are dedicated to providing quality health care in a warm and caring environment. The Payson Center offers the latest in advanced technology and conducts multiple clinical trials through New Hampshire Oncology-Hematology, PA for eligible patients.
