Pilot Program Encourages Healthy Snack Options

Concord Hospital, in cooperation with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, is launching a pilot program to encourage healthy snack options in the Hospital's main cafeteria, Karner Blue Cafe, and Grab 'n Go kiosks located at 49 South Main Street and in the Pillsbury Medical Office Building on the Hospital's campus.

The healthy snack kiosks offer fresh fruits and vegetables, and reduced sodium and calorie snacks. These items will be subsidized at 50% reduced cost, compared to their suggested retail price. The program is designed to encourage the choice of these foods, compared to those which contain relatively high-sodium and high-calories.
