Annual Wine Tasting Raises $85,000 to Support Genetic Counseling Program

Concord Hospital’s Annual Heart of the Grape Wine Tasting event on February 13 to benefit Concord Hospital Breast Care Center’s Genetic Counseling Program raised $56,000 (gross) and an additional $29,000 through in-kind donations. The Genetic Counseling Program provides testing and counseling at no cost to people at risk for cancer and is a much-needed community program led collaboratively by local and national experts from Concord Hospital, New Hampshire Oncology-Hematology and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Over four hundred and fifty guests, including sponsors and in-kind contributors, filled The Courtyard by Marriott and enjoyed a variety of prestigious wines from prominent vineyards represented by Martignetti Companies of New Hampshire, Inc.

In addition to presenting sponsor Rymes Propane and Oil and host sponsor Martignetti Companies, other lead sponsors of the annual wine tasting event included: Concord Imaging Center, Courtyard by Marriott Grappone Conference Center, Bridge & Byron, Inc., Lifeline Ambulance Service, Tasker Landscaping and The UPS Store.
