Opportunities for Medical Students

NHDFMR has a strong commitment to medical student education and teaching. We are a core site for family medicine clerkships for Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. We also offer fourth year electives for external students that intend to pursue family medicine training. Residents are actively engaged in medical student teaching in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Fourth-year students can choose between several options: ambulatory elective in Concord or Hillsboro, quality improvement elective, adult medicine sub-internship and maternal child health sub-internship. In addition to clinical activities, students attend morning reports and noon conferences.

Limited housing is available. It is conveniently located across the street from the hospital and can accommodate two students per month. There is a $50 fee.

For further information and availability, please contact: Christine Keenan, Residency Coordinator.
