An introduction to the science of stress, how it eats away at our physical and mental wellbeing, and the skillful use of mindfulness tools to detoxify stress in our daily lives. This program draws deeply from the traditional Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MSBR) Program and is taught by two certified MBSR instructors.
Mindfulness is non-judgmental awareness of what is actually happening, in the here and the now. It allows clear thinking in a calm, non-reactive way, opening the space for wise responding even under difficult circumstances. Mindfulness practices open the door into our naturally present deep resources of wisdom, compassion and healing. Integrating these practices into daily life enhances wellbeing and improves the quality of life.
This program is appropriate for those with little or no experience with meditation or mindfulness, and can also be enjoyed by those wishing to strengthen their practice, those who wish to revitalize their practice, including those who have already completed MBSR programs.
