A medically-based yoga class specifically designed for Multiple Sclerosis patients that combines mat and chair yoga. The class emphasizes the safe modification of yoga moves to allow you to work within your physical capability. Additionally, relaxation techniques help you reduce mental stress often related to chronic conditions.
Each class includes a warm-up of the joints and muscles, yoga pose work including moving the spine in all directions, core work, balance training and a relaxation period. You can participate standing or sitting, no mats or special equipment required. The class is accessible to all.
A desktop or laptop computer and a stable internet connection. If you're not technologically savvy, don’t worry. The class instructor covers technology information the week before classes start. Just be sure that your computer has speakers and video capability, and that your internet connection is strong and reliable. Tablets and phones can be harder to use, but if that is what you have it’s better to use it rather than miss out.
