Forrest D. McKerley Simulation and Education Center
Our Simulation and Education Center utilizes human patient simulators that blink, speak, and breathe, have a heartbeat and a pulse and accurately mirror human responses to such procedures as CPR, intravenous medication, intubation, ventilation and catheterization. The Center features state-of-the-art technology to teach and test knowledge, technical skills, teamwork, communication, crisis management and clinical decision-making.
Continuing Medical Education (CME)

Training & Development Programs
Our Organization Development Department offers access to programs on interpersonal skills, leadership, managing individuals and teams, and enhancing influence. These programs provide greater knowledge, awareness, and understanding about concepts and tools for increasing personal effectiveness with regard to work relationships.
We conduct clinical research trials through our medical staff and other disciplines. Federal Regulations require that Institutional Review Boards (IRB) oversee clinical research. The Institutional Review Board (IRB) for Concord Hospital is known as the Human Investigation Committee (HIC). Our HIC is registered with HHS as IRB00001351. Human Investigation Committee
Our HIC is responsible for approving, modifying or rejecting all research conducted by Medical Staff members, residents, employees and students affiliated with our organization, or any research to be performed at our organization. HIC consists of 13 members with two alternates. Each member represents the various backgrounds as required by federal regulations. The members must be free of any conflicts of interest regarding the research.
