Concord Hospital Urologic Institute surgeon re-releases prostate health application for iPhone

CONCORD, NHDr. Ronald Yap, director of the male urologic health program at Concord Hospital Urologic Institute, updated and re-released his iPhone application (app) ‘Prostate Pal’, providing a free tool to help men monitor their prostate health.

Dr. Yap created ‘Prostate Pal’ to help empower men to take charge of their urologic health. The app does not collect or share privacy data or provide diagnostic functions. Instead, the app is designed to help men track their prostate health and keep accurate records to share with their healthcare provider. ‘Prostate Pal’ features include:

  • Bladder Diary – Users can log and track fluid intake and output;
  • American Urologic Association (AUA) Symptom Score – Access to and result tracking of a validated questionnaire that assesses urinary symptoms;
  • Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) Tracker – Men can track PSA scores for prostate cancer screening and monitoring their body’s response to prostate cancer treatment.

“Men can be at risk of a variety of prostate conditions, such as prostate cancer, elevated PSA, prostatitis, or benign prostatic hyperplasia,” said Ronald Yap, MD. “This app allows men to conveniently and discreetly track their prostate health. When used in collaboration with a patient’s healthcare providers, ‘Prostate Pal’ provides critical data to assist with prostate health decisions.”

‘Prostate Pal’ is compatible with iOS, macOS, and visionOS devices. Visit https://apps.apple.com/us/app/prostate-pal-3/id732970382 to download a copy today.
