Concord Hospital Health System Appoints Seanna Zimmerman as Chief Nursing Officer

Concord Hospital Health System (CHHS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Seanna Zimmerman, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE, as its new chief nursing officer, effective August 24, 2026.
Zimmerman joins CHHS with more than 25 years of progressive nursing and executive leadership experience spanning both academic medical centers and community health systems. Throughout her career, she has earned a reputation as a collaborative, relationship-focused leader who is passionate about advancing patient care, supporting caregivers, and building high-performing teams.
Most recently, Zimmerman served as vice president, chief nursing officer, and patient care services at The Miriam Hospital, part of Brown University Health in Providence, Rhode Island. There, she provided executive leadership for inpatient, emergency, perioperative, and ambulatory nursing services while leading initiatives that improved quality, patient safety, workforce engagement, and operational performance.

During her tenure at The Miriam Hospital, Zimmerman led initiatives that reduced hospital-acquired infections, improved patient flow and access to care, decreased nurse turnover, strengthened shared governance, and advanced leadership development across the organization.
Zimmerman's leadership philosophy emphasizes collaboration, transparency, and accountability. She believes that investing in caregivers and fostering a culture of shared purpose are essential to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Zimmerman succeeds Linda Carrick, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, who has served as interim chief nursing officer. CHHS extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Carrick for her leadership and stewardship during the transition.
