Pedaling for Payson Raises Over $190,000
Proceeds will support the Nurse Navigation Program at Payson Center for Cancer Care.
Concord Hospital Trust’s 20th annual Pedaling for Payson raised over $190,000 to support Nurse Navigation at the Payson Center for Cancer Care. Held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Elm Brook Park in Hopkinton, NH, 267 cyclists participated in the event to support cancer patients.
Funds raised support Nurse Navigators in managing treatment schedules, providing critical support to over 238 patients this year. In 2025, the program facilitated over 3,400 patient interactions, ensuring those in treatment could focus on their health.
“Celebrating our 20th year of Pedaling for Payson reminds us of the extraordinary power of this community,” said Chief Advancement Officer Veronica Rosa. “The generosity of our cyclists, donors, and sponsors makes it possible for Nurse Navigators to walk alongside patients and families through some of their most difficult days. We are truly honored to see this legacy of compassion and commitment continue to grow.”
The following top three individuals collectively raised over $35,000. Dr. Scott Oosterveen ($15,490), Sharon Nall ($10,058), and tied for 3rd place were Kevin Swenson and Jo-Ann Peterson ($5,000). Our top fundraising team was Team NEMBA, raising $18,300, and our largest team was Team HOPE with 26 members, many of whom are staff at the Payson Center for Cancer Care. This year, in honor of our 20th anniversary, we were proud to have the Founders Match—a matching gift of $25,000. This was generously donated by a group of donors who have been involved with the event since the program’s beginning. We thank them for their tremendous support.
The event was generously sponsored by our Benefactors Circle Members and by our Presenting Sponsor, Concord Orthopaedics. Other major sponsors included The Demoulas Foundation, Ragged Mountain Resort, Concord Imaging Center, S&W Sports, The Common Man, Johnny Prescott Oil, Harvey Construction, New Hampshire Distributors, Dennehy & Bouley, and Radiation Oncology Associates. Thank you to our media sponsor, FinThrive. Additionally, 15 Concord Hospital Health System employees and community members also volunteered.
