Concord Hospital is Nationally Recognized for Its Commitment to Providing High-Quality Cardiovascular Care
The American Heart Association presents the Get With The Guidelines awards for proven dedication to best practices and life-saving care
CONCORD, NH – Concord Hospital (CH) has received three American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines achievement awards for demonstrating commitment to following up-to-date, research-based guidelines for the treatment of heart disease and stroke, ultimately leading to more lives saved, shorter recovery times, and fewer hospital readmissions.
Get With The Guidelines puts the expertise of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association to work for hospitals nationwide, helping ensure patient care is aligned with the latest evidence- and research-based guidelines. As a participant in the Get With The Guidelines programs, CH qualified for these awards by demonstrating how its staff are committed to improving quality care.
The American Heart Association presented the Get With The Guidelines - Stroke Gold Plus award to CH for proven dedication to ensuring all stroke patients have access to best practices and life-saving care.
Concord Hospital also received the American Heart Association’s Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus award. To qualify for this recognition, hospitals must meet specific criteria that reduce the time between an eligible patient’s arrival at the hospital and treatment with thrombolytic therapy.
In addition, CH received the American Heart Association’s Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll award. Target: Type 2 Diabetes aims to ensure patients with Type 2 diabetes, who might be at higher risk for complications, receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based care when hospitalized due to stroke.
“We are honored to be recognized by the American Heart Association with these prestigious awards,” said Concord Hospital President and CEO Robert P. Steigmeyer. “These achievements reflect the dedication of our physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, and care teams who bring extraordinary skill and compassion to their work each day. By consistently applying the latest evidence-based guidelines, our staff ensures that patients throughout our community receive the highest quality care. I am deeply grateful for their commitment to improving lives and proud to see their efforts recognized at the national level.”
