Concord Hospital Health System Named Among Forbes Best In-State Employers
Concord Hospital Health System (CHHS) has been recognized by Forbes as one of New Hampshire’s Best-In-State Employers for 2025, underscoring its commitment to creating a supportive workplace for nearly 5,000 employees across Concord, Franklin, and Laconia.
Forbes, in partnership with market research firm Statista, compiles its Best-In-State Employers rankings based on an independent survey of approximately 160,000 U.S. employees working for companies with at least 500 employees. Participants evaluated their employers on criteria such as working conditions, compensation, career development opportunities, and company image. Respondents were also asked to rate their previous employers.
“Being recognized as one of New Hampshire’s Best-In-State Employers is a testament to the culture of care, collaboration, and innovation we’ve built together,” said Robert P. Steigmeyer, President and CEO. “Just as we are dedicated to the health and well-being of our patients, we are equally committed to supporting the professional and personal growth of our employees.”
CHHS has earned multiple national recognitions, including Forbes’ America’s Best Midsize Employers, Newsweek’s America’s Best Maternity Hospitals, and the Lown Institute’s Most Socially Responsible Hospitals. This is the fifth year CHHS has placed in Forbes’ Best In-State Employer list.
As a teaching organization, CHHS provides specialty training in medicine, clinical practice, and nursing through apprenticeships, rotations, and residencies. Its hospitals and more than 60 outpatient locations serve more than 250,000 New Hampshire residents, offering programs and services such as the Cardiovascular Institute, Orthopaedic Institute, Payson Center for Cancer Care, Urologic Institute, and The Family Place.
