Health professions education is considered a Community Benefit because having highly qualified medical personnel supports quality care for individuals and the overall health of a community.

In 2017, we invested more than $1.1 million to provide training to more than 5,100 medical professionals including physicians, nurses, technicians, paramedics and emergency medical technicians. In addition, $678,750 was invested in the Forrest D. McKerley Simulation and Education Center and more than $2.5 million to support our Family Medicine Residency program, which through Concord Hospital Family Health Center addresses multiple identified health needs for vulnerable populations.
