American Association of Kidney Patients

National. 82 groups. Founded 1969. Provides information, education and mutual support for kidney patients, their families and friends. Has 82 local community support groups. Membership includes those with rediced kidney function, as well as dialysis and transplant patients. Als provides educational materials, bi-monthly magazine, three electronic newsletters, and an annual patient meeting. If you need to start a new local support group, contact them and ask for their 'Support Group Guidebook' for developing an independent patient support group.

PKD Foundation for Research in Polycystic Kidney Disease
