Our Wound Healing Center provides early intervention, patient education, prevention, reduction of non-healing wound complications such as amputations, wound management and improvement in the overall quality of life for wound patients. Wound healing treatments may be performed for a variety of signs and symptoms including circulatory problems, diabetes, pressure sores or unusual infections. The Center consists of five treatment rooms and two hyperbaric oxygen chambers.

Our wound treatments and therapies include: 

  • Appropriate wound debridement;
  • The newest topical ointments and wound dressings;
  • Compression therapy;
  • Bioengineered tissue substitutes;
  • Negative pressure wound therapy;
  • Total contact casting;
  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Our Center employs three physicians, one physician assistant, one advanced practice registered nurse, registered nurses and a certified medical assistant. Most of our clinical staff are certified in wound care. Additional consultative physicians supplement the services provided through an interdisciplinary approach to care. They focus on early intervention and educating patients on preventing future wounds. 

Underseas and Hyperbaric Medicine Society LogoOur Wound Healing Center is fully accredited by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. Accreditation recognizes we practice the highest level of treatment and patient safety. Accreditation is voluntarily, and while not yet widely required by insurance companies, some are beginning to include accreditation as part of their criteria in paying for hyperbaric treatment.
