Wound Healing Center

When you have a non-healing wound turn to Concord Hospital Wound health Center for expert care and treatment. The Center's three physicians, one physician assistant, one advanced practice registered nurse, registered nurses and certified medical assistant provides early intervention, patient education, prevention, reduction of non-healing wound complications, and wound management to help you improve your overall quality of life. Additional consultative physicians supplement the services provided through an interdisciplinary approach to care. They focus on early intervention and educating you on how to prevent future wounds.

Wound healing treatments may be performed for a variety of signs and symptoms including circulatory problems, diabetes, pressure sores or unusual infections. The Center consists of five treatment rooms and two hyperbaric oxygen chambers.

  • Appropriate wound debridement
  • Topical ointments and wound dressings
  • Compression therapy;
  • Bioengineered tissue substitutes
  • Negative pressure wound therapy
  • Total contact casting
  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy

Accreditation recognizes we practice the highest level of treatment and patient safety. Accreditation is voluntarily, and while not yet widely required by insurance companies, some are beginning to include accreditation as part of their criteria in paying for hyperbaric treatment.
