Inpatient Rehabilitation Gym
Our inpatient rehabilitation gym features innovative training tools and equipment to help patients prepare to return home. A kitchen set-up, complete with stove, refrigerator and other kitchen items allows patients to practice tasks like reaching for an item on the shelf or lifting a pot off of a stove. One half of a car permanently stationed in the gym allows therapists to train individuals on safety techniques for getting in and out of car. In addition, a balance suspension system aids patients at high risk of falling to help overcome their fear.
The gym also houses a bath tub, set of stairs, parallel bars and other exercise equipment, as well as space for small classes or group training for patients and families. Improved function and safety are the most important goals of the rehabilitation program.
Outpatient Rehabilitation Gym
The outpatient rehabilitation gym at the Center for Sports Medicine features a spacious, naturally lit treatment area. The gym is designed to allow therapists to progress individualized treatment
programs in an environment that supports a natural flow between the use of state-of-the-art equipment and space for advanced functional training techniques. Therapists at the Center for Sports
Medicine treat a variety of conditions and specialize in the treatment of orthopaedic and sports medicine problems. All of our rehabilitation locations
have fully equipped gyms with state-of-the-art modalities and exercise equipment.
