Our pediatric services are offered at The Family Place — a warm, family centered environment. We provide children and adolescents a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for community pediatrics. The Family Place - Pediatric Unit incorporates the family-centered care philosophy and uses Child Life Services to eliminate or minimize emotional and physical stress hospitalized children sometimes experience during their stay.

Service include:

• Preventive health care;
• Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions;
• Presurgical and postsurgical care;
• Care for patients with special medical needs.

Our multi-disciplinary team consists of 24 hour hospitalists who are experts in treating hospitalized children, as well as pediatric nurses, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists and quality assurance professionals.

Our unit includes a multi-function playroom, dedicated treatment room and patient rooms with sleep-in capability allowing parents to stay with their children.

Our Short Pediatric Observation and Treatment (SPOT) Program serves children who require observation or additional treatment away from the busy emergency department.
