Why Choose Concord Hospital?
Concord Hospital is the leader in orthopaedic care in New Hampshire. With 20 highly skilled orthopaedic surgeons on staff, Concord Hospital provides the largest orthopaedic specialty service in the state, with 22 percent of patient referrals coming from outside the hospital’s primary service area. Our orthopaedic specialists are fellowship-trained in a range of subspecialties including, pediatric, spine, hand, foot, sports medicine and joint replacements. They work closely with highly skilled orthopaedic nurses and technicians to ensure a continuum of care from prehab visits to surgery to rehabilitation and the return home.
Concord Hospital has one dedicated orthopaedic operating room and will open a second room this summer designed and primarily used for orthopaedic surgery. The second orthopaedic room is a newly constructed operating suite to accommodate the larger number and scope of orthopaedic surgeries performed at Concord Hospital.
A cornerstone of the Center for Orthopaedic Care at Concord Hospital is its dedicated orthopaedic inpatient unit and gym. The 23-bed unit offers improvements in patient care and satisfaction including large rooms; multiple nursing stations to provide easier access to patients; “rest” stations in all corridors and motivational distance markers to signify ambulation goals; and a state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation gym, patient/family waiting room and private consult room.
