Cardiologist Dr. R. Jeffrey Lootens joins Cardiac Associates, a member of Concord Hospital Medical Group

— Dr. R. Jeffrey Lootens has joined the cardiology staff of Concord Hospital Medical Group (CHMG) in collaboration with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Concord, adding impressive medical credentials, experience, and knowledge to one of New England’s most progressive and comprehensive cardiac care centers. Before joining Cardiac Associates, a member of CHMG which provides services to Concord Hospital Center for Cardiac Care, Dr. Lootens practiced for the past 10 years as Senior Partner and Cardiologist at the Heart Institute of Brownsville in Brownsville, Texas.

Dr. Lootens becomes part of a team of highly trained cardiologists, surgeons, advanced practitioners, and a skilled staff of nurses and technologists who provide sophisticated, compassionate, and patient-centric cardiac care for patients throughout central New Hampshire and the Lakes Region. Cardiac Associates provides cardiology services to Concord Hospital Center for Cardiac Care with offices in Concord, Laconia, and Franklin. The practice offers a full range of cardiac diagnostics and cardiac treatment programs emphasizing high quality local cardiac care.

A current resident of Tuftonboro, N.H., Dr. Lootens received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Michigan, served his internship at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center in Grand Rapids, and fulfilled his internal medicine residency requirements at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. At St. Luke’s, Dr. Lootens also completed fellowship training in critical care medicine and cardiovascular medicine. He is board-certified in internal medicine cardiology, nuclear cardiology, internal medicine-critical care, and emergency medicine.
