CONCORD, NH
- A 46-year old Loudon resident outlived his father, thanks in part to the skills and caring of Concord Hospital cardiologist Dr. Kenneth Deloge and his team. A 65-year old Hillsboro man will never forget Concord Hospital cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Gerry Sardella and his team who performed a 16-hour complex, triple bypass surgery and ascending aorta replacement. A 69-year old Contoocook woman says she feels at least 20 years younger, thanks to a stent procedure by Concord Hospital cardiologist Mark Klinker and his team.

These unique experiences through the eyes of Concord Hospital Center for Cardiac Care patients can be heard and read at www.trustyourheart.net. Area patients who may be your family, friends, and neighbors describe experiences ranging from emergent open-heart surgery by Concord Hospital’s cardiothoracic surgeons to catheterization procedures in the renowned cardiac catheterization suite. Three of the patients featured are active Concord Hospital Cardiac Peer Mentors who help incoming patients and their families understand their conditions and prepare for treatment.

According to Dr. Sardella, head of the cardiothoracic surgery program, the program offers valuable direction for new cardiac patients. “This information is designed to help prospective patients recognize critical cardiac symptoms, understand treatment and rehabilitation options, and make deliberate, timely choices to ensure the long-term heart health for themselves or for their loved ones,” he said.
All experiences at one of the region’s leading cardiac care facilities were clinically reviewed by Concord Hospital’s cardiology and cardiothoracic surgical team.

The most current patient satisfaction score ranked Concord Hospital Cardiothoracic Surgery in the 97th percentile when compared to other similar facilities in the country, according to Press Ganey Associates, Inc. national database.
