Concord Hospital Trust Announces New Board Chair

Concord Hospital Trust, the philanthropic arm of Concord Hospital, recently elected Dr. Michael Lynch as board chair. Other new members include: Jayne Millerick, vice chair, Dr. Ronald Yap, secretary, Robert Segal and Jeffrey Towle.

Returning board members include: Mary Boucher, C. Thomas Brown, David Conley, Esq., Dr. Mostafa El-Sherif, Charles Fanaras, Richard Pitman, Dr. Gerard V. Smith, Natalia Strong and Claudia Walker.

In addition, the following individuals were appointed: Scott Sloane, treasurer; Pamela Puleo, executive director; and Robert P. Steigmeyer, president.

"Through my work as an emergency department physician, I have witnessed firsthand the difference that charitable contributions make in Concord Hospital's ability to care for patients and respond to the health needs of our community members overall. I am honored to lead a group of committed, talented people who work tirelessly to garner philanthropic gifts and also ensure that those gifts are well-used to serve the needs of our community."

The Board oversees Concord Hospital Trust, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable entity which serves as the philanthropic arm of Concord Hospital. The Trust secures and distributes charitable gifts in accordance with donors’ intent to support Concord Hospital’s charitable mission of meeting the health needs of individuals within the communities it serves. Established in 2007, the Trust provides the leadership, focus and stewardship necessary to attract contributed funds that are playing an increasingly important role in assuring Concord Hospital’s mission. Concord Hospital Board of Trustees remains the governing body of Concord Hospital.
