Concord Hospital Presents Creatively Coping with Cancer: Using the Arts to Support Families in the Healing Journey

Concord Hospital Therapeutic Arts and Activity Services is pleased to present Creatively Coping With Cancer: Using the Arts to Support Families in the Healing Journey on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Practitioners of varied therapeutic arts disciplines will describe and demonstrate how music and art may help patients and their families during cancer treatment. In addition, learn about the role of creativity in coping, why art-making is helpful during challenging times and experience how music enhances the healing connection between the mind and the body.

Presenters include:
•Alice Kinsler, manager, Concord Hospital Therapeutic Arts and Activity Services
•Adrianna Catlin, social worker, Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care
•Therapeutic artists: Rachel Rouillard, Susan Riedl and Kathleen Hall
•Therapeutic musicians: Emily Mills and De Luna Tyrrell
