Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care’s Anticancer Lifestyle Program Presents Nationally Acclaimed Mindfulness Researcher

Research suggests that mindfulness may help to treat a number of health-related problems from general stress to anxiety to addiction. However, little is known about the underlying brain processes.

Join nationally acclaimed researcher Judson Brewer, MD, PhD on Tuesday, April 14 from 7-8:30 pm at the Concord City Auditorium, Concord, N.H. as he presents Please pay attention now, it could change your brain. During his presentation, learn how recent studies have helped unravel the mystery of how mindfulness affects the brain while gaining practical guidance to living well.

Dr. Brewer is the Director of Research at the Center for Mindfulness and associate professor in medicine and psychiatry at UMass Medical School. He also is adjunct faculty at Yale University, and a Research Affiliate at MIT. A psychiatrist and internationally known expert in mindfulness training for addictions, Brewer has developed and tested novel mindfulness programs for addictions, including both in-person and app-based treatments. He has been featured at TEDx, Time, Forbes, Businessweek, NPR, CBS 60 Minutes and the BBC and writes a blog for The Huffington Post.
