Be Seen and Heard Being Clean

Be Seen and Heard Being Clean CampaignOur Be Seen and Heard Being Clean campaign is a way we ensure our patients see and hear our clinical staff wash or gel their hands before providing care. The campaign involves our staff telling patients they are cleaning their hands as they do so. The campaign is one of our many continuous improvement initiatives. It's intended to increase patient satisfaction, as well as reduce the spread of infections. Patients have responded positively to the campaign, many sharing feedback that every hospital should adopt one like it. Our staff have also embraced it, noting the increased patient engagement it creates. To measure the effectiveness of the campaign, you may be asked if you saw or heard staff cleaning their hands, and our inpatient Press Ganey patient satisfaction survey will include a question asking if you saw your care providers wash their hands.
