Pediatric Unit Patient Satisfaction Scores Among Highest in the Nation

Two female care providers smiling at the bedside of a pediatric patient.Over the past year, The Family Place's Pediatric Unit has experienced an upward trend in Press Ganey Survey patient satisfaction scores. For the most recent reporting period (February 1 - April 30, 2013), the average score for all survey questions ranks our Pediatric Unit in the 96th percentile. This score is one standard deviation higher than the national average.

The average score for all questions in the survey's nursing/LNA section is ranked in the top 1 percent. For the survey questions about courtesy/friendliness, as well as the question about staff attitude towards requests from patients/parents, the unit received perfect scores of 100.

Physicians on our Pediatric Unit also rated well. Patients/parents confidence in the skill of the physician ranked in the 98th percentile nationally, and ranked in the 97th for the amount of time the physician spent with the patient.
