Inspired to Give Back, O Steaks & Seafood Joins Anticancer Lifestyle Restaurant Program
O Steaks & Seafood Restaurant is committed to offering Anticancer-inspired meals to raise money to support Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care’s Anticancer Lifestyle Program. The restaurant will offer delicious, plant-based menu items brimming with food high in cancer-fighting ingredients. Evidence exists that a healthy diet, adequate physical activity, lowered exposure to toxins, social support, and stress management all help to maximize the body’s natural defenses against cancer.
A portion of proceeds of the sale of menu items will support the Anticancer Lifestyle Program, designed by staff and faculty of the Payson Center for Cancer Care. This innovative, 12-week program for people diagnosed with cancer, seeks to help patients self-manage their cancer in a supportive group environment. One primary goal of the program is to encourage cancer patients to be proactive participants in their own well-being and to restore a sense of control while living with this disease.
“As we strive to provide an exceptional dining experience, we understand the importance of using only the finest, freshest and most wholesome ingredients,” says Scott Oullette, owner of O Steaks & Seafood.” Joining the Anticancer Lifestyle Restaurant Program allows us to be creative and provide healthy options to folks while we give back to the community. Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care does wonderful things every day, and we are proud to support their good work.”
Other participating restaurants include: Angelina’s Ristorante Italiano, Café Indigo, Country Spirit Restaurant, The Soup Gallery and The Granite Restaurant.
