Concord Hospital Walk-In Urgent Care Center Expands Weekend Hours
On April 20, Concord Hospital Walk-In Urgent Care Center will expand its weekend hours to better meet the needs of patients. The Center will be open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m on Saturday and Sunday with registration staff available at 8:45 a.m. Weekday hours will remain 9 a.m.-8 p.m. The Center is located at 60 Commercial Street in Concord at the Concord Hospital Medical Offices at Horseshoe Pond. No appointment is necessary.
Concord Hospital Walk-In Urgent Care provides patients access to prompt medical care for minor illnesses or injury such as sore throats, colds, back-to-school health screenings, cuts or minor wounds and earaches. Laboratory and imaging services are also available onsite.
The Walk-In Urgent Care Center is a convenient alternative to a busy emergency department and staffed with physicians and clinical staff trained in emergency medicine. Patients with focused medical complaints are typically seen and discharged in under one hour. Patients are generally seen in order of their arrival however; staff will triage and assess patients according to the severity of their conditions, when they first arrive.
A sophisticated electronic health records system securely links all Concord Hospital Medical Group and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Concord primary care providers with Concord Hospital’s Walk-In Urgent Care Center and Emergency Department. Following each visit, the system generates a summary report including the reason for the visit and securely sends it to a patient’s primary care provider — ensuring continuity of care for each patient.
