Concord Hospital, a regional medical center, serves as a teaching hospital by providing an educational site for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock
Medical Center's Residency Program in general surgery. Our site provides surgical residents a supportive and focused educational experience.
As part of the rotation, second and fourth year residents spend three months working with Concord Hospital's general surgeons who hold adjunct
teaching appointments at Dartmouth Medical School. During their rotations, residents are exposed to a wide variety of surgical procedures performed
in the Day Surgery Center and main OR suites. Residents take an active role in managing the care of their surgical patients with direct support and
supervision from Concord Hospital affiliated general surgeons.
