Jim Ford MD
Jim graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Hillsdale College where he studied theater. Prior to medical school he spent two
years as an EMT and a year as a laboratory technician. He enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, guitar and wilderness medicine.
Jessee Meek DO
Jessee graduated from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from Ohio Northern University. In his free time he plays tennis, enjoys
movies and spending time with family and friends.
Mike Messina MD
Mike received his medical degree from University of Massachusetts. Prior to medical school, Mike attended Boston College and received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry. He spent two years at
Brigham and Women’s Hospital as a research technician and clinical research coordinator. In his free time, he enjoys watching football and baseball, running and cooking.
Alex Nowicki MD
Alex graduated from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Prior to medical school Alex attended the University of Western Ontario where he received a degree in physiology. He likes to spend
his free time pursuing outdoor activities, particularly running.
Mike Ross DO
Mike graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Boston University. Between college and medical school, Mike worked as a
diabetes educator for Americorps in Providence, RI. He enjoys skiing, tennis, kayaking and running.
Owen Vincent DO
Owen graduated from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in May 2011. He received his undergraduate degree in bacteriology and molecular biology from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to medical school he worked as an associate research specialist in the Department of Biomolecular Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public
Health. Owen is also one of the combined Family Medicine/Leadership Preventive Medicine residents as a Paul Ambrose Fellow.
Mark Walrod MD
Mark is a graduate of Albany Medical College. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Williams College. After graduating from Williams, Mark taught high school chemistry and math for
three years. He also completed a year of Obstetrics/Gynecology Residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock before transitioning to family medicine, which better aligns with his interests. In his free time,
Mark can usually be found outside – skiing, hiking, biking.
Cole Zanetti DO
Cole graduated from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. As an undergraduate he attended University of Buffalo and received a degree in psychology. He has a very strong interest in quality
improvement, patient safety and healthcare reform. Cole is actively engaged in many leadership and advocacy roles including resident representative for the AACOM/AOA Blue Ribbons Commission for
Medical Education Reform, Paul Ambrose Health Policy Scholar, and Future Leaders in Preventive Medicine Scholar. Additionally, he has also served as the Past National Chair for Community and
Environmental Health for AMSA and Past Osteopathic Health Policy Intern. Outside of medicine, Cole enjoys baseball, basketball, theater and traveling.
Second-Year Residents
Michael Badmaev MD
Michael graduated from St. Matthew’s University in 2009. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from New York University. Michael worked as a research assistant
for five years prior to medical school. He enjoys snowboarding and traveling and is fluent in Polish.
Pralhad Bide MD
Pralhad graduated from Grant Medical College in 2005. He recently completed a master’s degree at Miami University in the field of exercise and health studies. He was a
practicing physician in India prior to moving to the United States. Pralhad likes to do meditation and enjoys playing volleyball and cricket.
Jon Hennessee DO
Jon graduated from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. He received his undergraduate degree in nursing from George Mason
University. Jon spent several years working as a critical care nurse and nursing supervisor prior to medical school. Outside of medicine, Jon is an avid writer of poetry and
a former songwriter and vocalist for a rock band. He toured extensively with the band in the US and Europe. Jon also enjoys spending time with his family, snowboarding,
hiking, and watching hockey.
Erika Kuehn DO
Erika graduated from UMDNJ School of Osteopathic Medicine in May 2010. She received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Saint Thomas. In her
spare time, Erika likes to spend time outdoors – hiking, camping, running marathons – and enjoys live theater and reading.
Mary Moreno MD
Mary graduated from University of Southern California in May 2010. She also attended USC as an undergraduate and received a bachelor’s degree in bio-medical engineering and
a BA in cinema and television. Prior to medical school, Mary worked for a community television channel in Los Angeles. Her interests include writing, painting, playing
soccer, hiking and traveling.
Danielle Simons MD
Danielle graduated from St. George’s University in 2008 and received a bachelor’s degree from Temple University. She is currently completing an internship in Bermuda and is
a research assistant on a stroke study. She enjoys aquatic sports, ballet and aerobic exercise.
Sreelavaniya Sreetharan MD
Lavaniya graduated from Medical University of the Americas in 2009. She graduated from University of Toronto with a bachelor of science degree in nutritional sciences.
Lavaniya is active in South Indian classical arts of music and dance having performed in various venues. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and many outdoor
activities.
Naori Yamashiro MD
Naori graduated from Ryukyus University in 2004. Following graduation she completed a residency program in Japan. She then practiced medicine for several years, seeing both
adults and children. Naori is fluent in Japanese and enjoys learning languages. She uses her free time for traveling and flamenco dancing.

Hilary Alvarez MD
Hilary graduated from Mayo Medical School in May 2009. As an undergraduate, Hilary studied philosophy at Dartmouth College.
Following college she enrolled in the post baccalaureate premedical program at Mount Holyoke College. Hilary is one of three residents
in this class to be part of the Combined Family Medicine/Leadership Preventive Medicine Residency.
Jonathan Ballard MD
Jonathan graduated from the University of Louisville in May 2009. He also received his undergraduate degree in biology from the
University of Louisville. Jonathan attended Cambridge University where he received a Master of Philosophy in Epidemiology. He is part of
the Combined Family Medicine/Leadership Preventive Medicine Residency. In his free time, Jonathan is an avid soccer fan, player and
referee.
Anne Barry DO
Anne graduated from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 2009. As an undergraduate, Anne studied
biochemistry at Bates College and then pursued her Master’s degree in Clinical Leadership in Health Management at Union College.
Anne is a New Hampshire native and enjoys quilting, reading, hiking and swimming.
Melissa Buddensee MD
Melissa is a 2009 graduate of the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from
Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She decided to split her fourth year of medical school to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail, which
she and her husband successfully completed. She hopes to enjoy more trails in New Hampshire during her residency.
Alpana Chopra MD
Alpana is a graduate of Kasturba Medical College in India. She gained extensive clinical experience as a practicing physician in India
for a number of years. When she moved to the United States, she completed externships in family medicine, geriatrics and internal
medicine. Alpana is fluent in Hindi and enjoys traveling, painting, chess and badminton.
Shauna Guthrie MD
Shauna graduated from Drexel University School of Medicine in May 2009. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the
University of Kansas. Shauna is one of the residents in the Combined Family Medicine/Leadership Preventive Medicine Residency. Shauna is
fluent in American Sign Language and enjoys singing, swimming, live music and watching college basketball.
Rachel Hamilton DO
Rachel graduated from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 2009. She received her undergraduate degree
in zoology from the University of New Hampshire. Rachel is a New Hampshire native who took a circuitous route to medicine having spent
time sailing tall ships and working on commercial fishing boats. She enjoys sailing her small sailboat, singing and outdoor adventures.
