Admission Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalency;
  
• Satisfactory score on the Wonderlic test (Administered at the time of interview);
  
• Three references who are not relatives, at least one should be a most recent employer and/or teacher;
  
• Good health status;
  
• Satisfactory interview.
  

Technical Standards:

• Standing for sustained period of 4 hours;
  
• Frequent reaching and manual dexterity;
  
• Frequent transporting, moving, lifting of patients - able to lift 50lbs over head;
  
• Sufficient (correctable) eyesight - further evaluation needed for color blindness;
  
• Visual acuity sufficient to work with figures and other data;
  
• Sufficient (correctable) hearing;
  
• Sufficient written and oral skills;
  
• Ability to work with frequent interruptions and respond appropriately to unexpected situations;
  
• Ability to work with wide variations in workload and stress levels;
  
• Mental health status sufficient to cope with personal, as well as work stress;
  
• Functional capacity exam (weight lift test) and appropriate operating room attire are provided by the hospital. Students must supply shoes and stockings.
